Last Sunday and Monday were national holidays. Thus, I had a long weekend. Our president gave a speech yesterday, and just babbled the exact same stuff he always says, most of it has already been solved. He also gave away chocolate bars and juice boxes, instead of addressing more important issues. What a great president.

This long weekend I had: The baptism of my other baby cousin (she's less than a year old), my teenaged cousin's birthday (her friends are really nice!) and my aunt (her mom)'s birthday. In other words, lots and lots of food. I ended up tired of eating so much.

On Saturday, I went to see The Avengers. I liked it. Awesome special effects, likeable characters, and surprisingly funny.

Looking at the posters at the cinema, I began to wonder when did Tim Burton became a caricature of himself, considering how hilariously clichéd his take on Dark Shadows look. My mom thinks it was with Sweeney Todd.

I've been reading an "adult" manga called Nana To Kaoru. It's an "ugly guy /hot girlfriend" romantic comedy with LOTS of surprisingly realistic soft-BDSM, but no actual sex, or even kissing. Normally I wouldn't bother mentioning  in my journal the "adult" comics or manga I read, but this one caught my attention, since it also has a short animated adaptation (which looks awful) and a *live action film* (which I'm NOT watching; what looks good drawn on paper looks incredibly sleazy with real-life actors, who don't even resemble the characters). I need to read it in small doses because it's a bit too.....stimulating, and I end up getting distracted from other stuff, and feeling woozy. Eheheh.....damn you teenage hormones, I'm in my twenties!

I haven't finished Bakuman yet, but I keep reading it from time, it really motivates me to keep drawing.

What else....thanks to certain series I love too much and the overabundance of fanworks, now I'm debating between drawing my own characters, drawing fanart to sell at the event at my U on August, or drawing "adult" fanart for my own enjoyment. Eh, I'll do them all, and I'll post the NSFW ones on Tumblr.
